QSE Launches qREK SDK to Enhance Quantum-Resilient Encryption
Quantum Secure Encryption Corp. (CSE: QSE) has officially launched its new Software Development Kit (SDK), named qREK, designed to facilitate the integration of post-quantum-resilient encryption into applications and systems. Announced on December 9, 2025, during a media event in Vancouver, British Columbia, this innovative tool aims to help developers, enterprises, and security teams enhance their data protection strategies in anticipation of the evolving threats posed by quantum computing.
The qREK SDK allows organizations to locally generate their encryption keys using QSE’s secure quantum-grade entropy. This capability significantly reduces the risks associated with cloud-generated or remotely transmitted keys, which can be vulnerable to interception. By employing a strict zero-trust architecture, qREK ensures that cryptographic keys remain within the client’s environment throughout their lifecycle.
Transforming Data Security
The launch of qREK represents a pivotal advancement in QSE’s mission to equip organizations with the tools needed to modernize their security postures. By enabling local key generation, qREK helps organizations eliminate the vulnerabilities linked to traditional key management systems. Its features include:
– Local key generation on the client’s machine
– Secure backing by authentic quantum entropy sourced from QSE’s data centers
– No transmission or exposure of keys at any stage
– Compatibility with existing encryption standards such as AES and RSA, along with NIST-recommended post-quantum cryptographic algorithms including Kyber and Dilithium
Developers can effortlessly implement qREK into their systems with minimal coding required, allowing for an immediate strengthening of their defenses against both current and future cybersecurity threats.
Leadership Insights
In a statement regarding the launch, Ted Carefoot, Chief Executive Officer of QSE, emphasized the significance of qREK for enterprises facing the realities of modern cybersecurity challenges. He stated, “For years, enterprises have relied on legacy approaches to key generation that simply weren’t built for the realities of modern cybersecurity—let alone the threats emerging with quantum computing. With qREK, we’re giving developers and security teams a tool that is not only easy to integrate but fundamentally transformative.”
Adding to this, Sean Prescott, an Encryption Specialist at QSE, highlighted the advantages of qREK for organizations tasked with securing sensitive data. He remarked, “By combining local key generation with remotely sourced quantum entropy, qREK eliminates the weaknesses found in traditional randomness sources and cloud-based key systems. The result is simple: organizations maintain complete ownership of their cryptographic lifecycle while benefiting from next-generation entropy designed for the post-quantum world.”
Availability and Future Directions
qREK is now available for developers, enterprises, and integration partners. Organizations interested in utilizing the SDK or obtaining technical documentation can visit QSE’s official website at www.QSE.group. This launch reinforces QSE’s commitment to delivering effective and scalable data protection solutions as businesses prepare for a future increasingly influenced by quantum technologies.
For further inquiries, QSE encourages interested parties to reach out to their investor and media relations team via email at [email protected].
As quantum computing continues to evolve, tools like qREK may become essential for maintaining data security in an ever-changing technological landscape.
