The new additions, the RX 350 F SPORT Black Line and the RX 450h+ Ultra Premium, bring the total configurations to 17, covering gas, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options. The updated series reflects Lexus’s commitment to offering versatile and premium driving experiences.

The 2026 Lexus RX Series starts at $60,635 in Canada, with the highest trim reaching over $89,000. These figures underscore the brand’s positioning within the luxury SUV market, where the RX continues to lead in sales.

Powertrain Options and Performance

The RX Series now features four all-wheel-drive powertrain options. The base model, the RX 350, is equipped with a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing a balance of performance and efficiency.

In addition, the RX 350h hybrid employs a 2.5-litre hybrid-electric system that delivers 246 horsepower with a fuel consumption rating of 6.5L/100 km. For those seeking higher output, the RX 500h combines the turbocharged engine with a hybrid system, producing 367 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. This variant features a six-speed automatic transmission and Lexus’s advanced DIRECT4 all-wheel-drive system.

The RX 450h+ plug-in hybrid option offers an estimated electric-only range of 60 kilometres and boasts a fuel efficiency rating of 2.8 litres equivalent per 100 kilometres. The model is powered by a 2.5-litre engine and features an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission. Lexus claims a zero-to-100 km/h acceleration time of 6.5 seconds, with a full battery charge achievable in approximately 2.5 hours.

New Features and Safety Technology

The RX 350 F SPORT Black Line debuts with distinct styling that includes a black exterior aero kit, unique five-spoke wheels, and orange brake calipers, appealing to buyers looking for a sportier aesthetic. Interior upgrades feature grey contrast stitching, illuminated door sills, and exclusive Black Line mats, enhancing the luxurious feel.

The RX 450h+ Ultra Premium model elevates the standard for plug-in hybrids, offering a 14-inch touchscreen, comprehensive connectivity options through the Lexus Interface, and an array of driver assistance technologies.

All models in the 2026 RX lineup come standard with the Lexus Interface infotainment system, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Screen sizes range from 9.8 inches to 14 inches, with higher trims featuring enhanced navigation systems and connectivity services.

Safety remains a priority, with every 2026 RX model equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. This suite includes driver-assist technologies such as lane departure alert, a pre-collision system, and dynamic radar cruise control. Additional safety features encompass a backup camera, blind-spot monitor, and up to eight airbags. Certain models also offer advanced options like a digital rearview mirror, enhanced parking assistance, and traffic-jam assist.

The production of the 2026 RX Series takes place at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, ensuring high-quality standards and local employment opportunities. With these new models and features, Lexus continues to strengthen its position in the competitive luxury SUV market, catering to a diverse range of consumer preferences.
