Fans of the Kitchener Rangers now have an exciting opportunity to win cash just in time for the holidays while supporting local children in need. The team has announced special holiday pricing for their 50/50 draw, which will run during the next three home games. The initiative, known as the 50/50 Holiday Bonus Raffle Supporting Clarky’s Kids, allows fans to purchase extra tickets to boost the jackpot.

During an appearance on the Mike Farwell Show, Craig Campbell, executive director of Rangers Reach, highlighted the early ticket sales for the draw scheduled for January 2, 2024. “By opening here early this week, and with the last game before Christmas, it is an opportunity for us to throw a big number on the board and help someone with some holiday bills, hopefully allowing them to enjoy Christmas a little bit more,” Campbell noted.

Clarky’s Kids, founded by former Kitchener Rangers player David Clarkson, is dedicated to raising funds for children and families undergoing cancer treatment at the Waterloo Regional Health Network. The organization collaborates with the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) to provide essential support.

Tickets for the holiday raffle are priced at $10 for five chances or $80 for 2526 chances. Since its launch on November 28, 2023, ticket sales are expected to generate significant interest. Campbell pointed out that only one game this season had a take-home prize below $10,000, which occurred during the Thanksgiving weekend.

“It is amazing on both ends,” Campbell remarked. “Somebody is going home with a nice cheque, and the community is benefitting from the backside of that.”

As the Kitchener Rangers return home to the Kitchener Auditorium after a challenging five-game road trip, they are set to face the Owen Sound Attack in a special holiday match. This game will not only provide thrilling entertainment for fans but will also support a worthy cause, reinforcing the team’s commitment to giving back to the community. With the holiday season approaching, the 50/50 draw represents a unique opportunity for fans to contribute while enjoying the excitement of live hockey.
