Air Canada Increases Bus Service from Waterloo Region to Pearson

Air Canada has announced an expansion of its bus service between the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) and Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ), doubling the number of available trips. Starting on December 1, 2023, passengers will benefit from ten daily luxury coach service trips provided by The Landline Company, up from the previous five.
Ranbir Singh, Director of Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada, expressed satisfaction with the service’s popularity. “We have been very satisfied with the response from the Kitchener-Waterloo Region to Air Canada’s innovative, multi-modal service,” Singh stated. He highlighted the importance of this expansion, noting that it enhances connectivity between YKF and numerous destinations served from YYZ, including cities like Vancouver, Tokyo, Halifax, and San Francisco.
This increase in bus service presents more options for travelers in the Waterloo Region, effectively strengthening local airport usage. Karen Redman, Chair of the Region of Waterloo, emphasized the significance of this service enhancement. “Doubling the frequency strengthens Waterloo Region’s global reach and opens new doors for our residents, businesses, and visitors alike. We are committed to providing travellers with more accessible options,” she said.
The bus schedules will accommodate a range of travel plans. Departures from YKF in Breslau will begin as early as 5:30 a.m. and continue until 8:25 p.m.. For return trips from YYZ to YKF, the schedule will span from 7:00 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.. This expanded service not only aims to meet the increasing demand from local travelers but also highlights Air Canada’s commitment to improving regional accessibility.
As this new service takes effect, it is expected to enhance travel options for residents of the Waterloo Region while promoting greater connectivity to major international destinations.
