The $80 million Lotto Max jackpot remains unclaimed following the third consecutive draw, leaving players eager for a chance at life-changing wealth. The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has announced that the upcoming draw on December 23, 2023, will offer an estimated total of $123 million in prizes, including 43 Maxmillions prizes worth $1 million each.

Despite the absence of a jackpot winner, Ontario has seen significant wins in the Maxmillions category. According to OLG, two $1 million Maxmillions tickets were sold in Mississauga, while single winning tickets of the same amount were purchased in Niagara Falls and Windsor. Additionally, several Maxmillions prizes were shared between ticket holders in Ontario and other provinces.

Notably, a $500,000 Maxmillions prize was sold in the Kawartha Lakes area, which was split with a ticket sold in Atlantic Canada. Similarly, another $500,000 prize was divided between ticket holders from Thunder Bay and York Region. A prize of $333,333.40 was shared among three tickets sold in Mississauga, Oshawa, and York Region, showcasing the widespread excitement and potential for winners across the province.

Encore Wins Boost Ontario’s Lottery Success

In addition to the Maxmillions prizes, Ontario players also had success with Encore, a supplementary game associated with Lotto Max. Winning tickets worth $100,000 were sold in Sarnia and Cambridge, adding to the series of life-changing prizes distributed throughout the province.

OLG officials expressed hope that the coveted $80 million jackpot will soon be claimed. They noted in a statement, “I realize that everyone is hoping to hear that the $80 Lotto Max million jackpot has been won and hopefully, was won in Ontario.” While the main jackpot remains elusive, the organization is encouraging players to participate in the upcoming draw.

The Lotto Max game has become increasingly popular since its launch in 2009, generating over $9.5 billion in total winnings for Ontario players, including 117 jackpot wins and 957 Maxmillions prizes. Each Lotto Max ticket is priced at $5, with draws occurring every Tuesday and Friday.

As the anticipation builds for the next draw, players across Ontario continue to dream of hitting the jackpot. The significant increase in the prize pool and the recent Maxmillions wins serve as a reminder of the excitement that comes with playing the lottery.
