Celebrate Creativity at LEGO® Event on November 15 in Winnipeg
On November 15, 2023, the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada will host a special event titled “LEGO® LIFT OFF!” designed to celebrate creativity and aviation through the beloved building blocks. The event, organized in collaboration with the Manitoba LEGO Users Group (MBLUG), promises a day full of engaging activities for participants of all ages.
What to Expect at the Event
From 10 AM to 3 PM, attendees can immerse themselves in a vibrant atmosphere filled with aviation-themed LEGO® creations crafted by talented MBLUG members. Guests will have the opportunity to explore these impressive displays, which showcase the unique blend of aviation and creativity that LEGO® embodies.
A highlight of the day will be the hands-on free-play area, where individuals and families can unleash their inner builders. This interactive space will provide building bricks suitable for all ages, encouraging creativity and collaboration among participants.
For those looking to showcase their own building skills, a Build Contest will be held, featuring four distinct age categories. Participants will compete for a chance to win exciting LEGO® prizes. Each contestant will also receive a custom event brick, enhancing the experience and providing a unique keepsake from the day.
Engagement and Prizes
Attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite creations displayed during the event. This voting process will not only engage visitors but also allow them to enter a prize draw at the MBLUG table, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities.
With registration limited, participants are encouraged to sign up early to secure their place in the contest. Each age group will have its own category, ensuring fair competition and an inclusive atmosphere for all builders.
Admission to the event is included with museum membership or can be purchased at the door, making it accessible for families and LEGO® enthusiasts interested in a day of fun and creativity.
The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada and MBLUG invite everyone to join this unique celebration of creativity in flight. Whether attending to view the innovative LEGO® models or participating in the building activities, visitors are sure to leave inspired.
