Abell Pest Control Celebrates Five Years of ‘12 Days of Giving’
On December 2, 2025, Abell Pest Control announced the fifth anniversary of its ‘12 Days of Giving’ campaign, an initiative that has evolved into a cornerstone of its community engagement efforts. Originally designed to recognize the contributions of its team members, the campaign now also aims to support families in need across the regions where the company operates.
Holiday Contributions and Community Impact
This year, Abell Pest Control is enhancing its holiday contributions by supporting the University of Guelph’s Canadian Bee Gut Project. The project focuses on understanding the relationship between pest control practices and pollinator health, specifically examining the role of microbiome imbalances in honey bee sensitivity. Such research underscores Abell’s commitment to balancing effective pest management with environmental sustainability.
Brett MacKillop, President of Abell Pest Control, stated, “’12 Days of Giving’ is one of the ways we show our appreciation for our team members at Abell. It’s an opportunity for us to thank them for the work they do in the communities we serve throughout the year.” As part of this initiative, every full-time employee will receive a $500 gift to brighten their holiday season.
Engaging Employees and Supporting Local Communities
Over the years, the ‘12 Days of Giving’ has transformed into a much-anticipated tradition for Abell employees. Activities such as holiday baking contests, festive greeting card design, and gingerbread house decorating have fostered a spirit of creativity and community among staff. These friendly competitions, which come with substantial prizes, not only enhance workplace camaraderie but also reflect Abell’s people-first culture.
In addition to supporting its employees, Abell Pest Control remains dedicated to assisting families in need through local food drives at its branches across North America. Employees will collect non-perishable food items for local food banks, inviting customers and community members to join in the effort. This initiative continues Abell’s longstanding commitment to food banks, with the company donating over $100,000 in the past five years, along with substantial food contributions.
The ‘12 Days of Giving’ campaign exemplifies Abell Pest Control’s mission to protect public health, support local communities, and care for its employees. By combining employee appreciation with community outreach, Abell not only enhances the holiday spirit but also demonstrates its role as a responsible corporate citizen.
Founded in 1924, Abell Pest Control is a family-owned and operated enterprise that provides trusted pest management services across the nation. Known for its commitment to innovation and customer service, Abell offers cutting-edge solutions for pest prevention and management. The company prioritizes strong partnerships and community engagement, ensuring that it continues to support the industries it serves.
