Mobile Food Pantry Offers Free Essentials in DeKalb County This October
A mobile food pantry initiative, known as Grow Mobile, is set to provide free food and household items to residents of DeKalb County throughout October. This program, organized by the non-profit group Rooted For Good, aims to assist individuals and families in need, with no prerequisites for participation.
The Grow Mobile pantry will operate at various locations across the county, offering essential supplies to anyone who attends. Organizers emphasize the importance of health and safety, urging visitors to practice good hand hygiene and to refrain from attending if they are feeling unwell.
Residents can receive timely updates about Grow Mobile’s schedule by texting “FreeGroceries” to 844-727-2012. Below are the remaining dates and times for October:

– **October 7**: 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Malta Historical Society, located at 127 N. Third St., Malta.
– **October 9**: 11:00 a.m. to noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb.
– **October 14**: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Cortland Lions Club Shelter, 70 S. Llanos St., Cortland.
– **October 16**: 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Malta Historical and Genealogical Society, 127 N. Third St., Malta.
– **October 21**: 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at University Village Apartments, 722 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb.
– **October 23**: 11:00 a.m. to noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Road, DeKalb.
– **October 28**: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, 340 W. Arnold Road, Sandwich.
