Boomi, a leader in data activation, has unveiled significant enhancements to the Boomi Enterprise Platform, aiming to empower enterprises with contextual data for large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) applications. These advancements include a dedicated European platform instance, allowing for localized control and compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The new capabilities are designed to transform how organizations leverage data across various systems and processes, ensuring that information is timely and relevant. The updated platform aims to facilitate the transition from data experimentation to actionable insights, a critical step for enterprises looking to integrate AI effectively into their operations.

Steve Lucas, Chairman and CEO of Boomi, emphasized the importance of data governance in maximizing AI value. “Last year, Boomi helped enterprises move from experimentation to execution. What we’re seeing now is clear: AI only delivers value when data is properly activated, trusted, and governed first,” Lucas stated. He noted that organizations require “action-ready data” rather than more pilots, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing a robust infrastructure for data management.

Key Innovations Transforming Data Activation

Among the major features introduced is the Boomi Meta Hub, which establishes a shared source of truth across the AI ecosystem. This innovation builds on Boomi’s established strengths in master data management and enterprise connectivity. By aligning data standards across the organization, the Meta Hub ensures AI agents and human operators work with consistent and trusted data, reducing the risk of misinterpretation.

Another notable enhancement is the introduction of a European platform instance that supports data residency requirements. This move is crucial for compliance with GDPR, ensuring that customer data and metadata remain within European borders. The new instance is expected to improve resilience and automation performance, particularly in regulated environments.

Furthermore, Boomi has rolled out the Boomi for SAP Data Connector, designed to eliminate integration delays. This tool allows for real-time extraction of critical SAP data without the need for custom development. By automating data movement through change data capture (CDC), organizations can ensure that they have access to fresh, governed data, optimizing their SAP investments while enhancing AI and analytics capabilities.

Enhancing Transparency and Governance

To improve oversight of AI-driven workflows, Boomi has introduced new governance features for Snowflake Cortex Agents within the Boomi Agent Control Tower. These enhancements include Agent Session Logs, which provide auditable visibility into AI utilization and reasoning. By transforming what was once a “black box” into a transparent system, organizations can better manage and control agentic workflows.

The latest updates also include intelligent agent integration recommendations, which guide enterprises in adopting coordinated, enterprise-scale automation. This functionality is designed to accelerate the transition from isolated experiments to comprehensive, governed actions involving both human operators and AI agents.

Industry analysts have noted the growing importance of these developments. According to Kevin Petrie, Vice President and Head of Data Management Practice at BARC, “Enterprises are getting serious about accuracy as they move into production with agentic AI.” He highlighted the role of Boomi Meta Hub in minimizing risks associated with AI, ensuring that workflows are grounded in the nuanced realities of business operations.

As organizations across various sectors begin to implement these innovations, they can expect to see increased efficiency and effectiveness in their data management strategies. The new capabilities will be available starting in March 2026, allowing enterprises to activate data securely and responsibly.

Boomi continues to support over 30,000 customers globally, driving agentic transformation and helping businesses innovate at scale. For more information, visit the official website at boomi.com.
