Assassin’s Creed Mirage celebrates its second anniversary with the release of a free story expansion titled Valley of Memory, set to launch on November 18, 2023. This update provides players who own the base game with an additional six hours of gameplay and narrative content, expanding the lore before the conclusion of the main storyline.

In Valley of Memory, players assume the role of Basim, who embarks on a quest to the historic region of AlUla after learning that his long-lost father may still be alive. Upon his arrival, Basim discovers that the valley faces threats from a nefarious group of robbers, while his search for his father leads him into a perilous adventure.

New Gameplay Features and Exploration Opportunities

The expansion introduces a new region and map, along with various gameplay enhancements, including a main quest, assassination targets, side quests, and contracts. Players can engage in parkour challenges to collect music sheets, allowing Basim to perform on the oud at specific locations throughout the game. This addition also offers a fresh perspective on the classic Assassin’s Creed black box missions, introducing new elements that players will discover as they progress.

Set against the backdrop of 9th-century AlUla, the expansion immerses players in a historically rich environment characterized by breathtaking landscapes. Notable locations include the ancient town of AlUla, the Musa Ibn Musayr fortress, the Valley of the Stones, and the necropolis of Hegra. However, players must remain vigilant, as robbers have set ambushes throughout the desert, adding an element of danger to the exploration.

Developed by Ubisoft Bordeaux and Ubisoft Paris, with contributions from studios in Bucharest, Da Nang, and Montpellier, Valley of Memory seeks to enhance the overall experience of Assassin’s Creed Mirage while remaining true to the series’ origins. The game is currently available across multiple platforms, including Ubisoft+, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Amazon Luna, iOS, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

As fans of the franchise look forward to the new content, Assassin’s Creed Mirage continues to evolve, offering players fresh adventures and deeper storytelling within its rich historical context.
