The initiative, part of the cafe’s Giving Tree program, encourages diners to contribute to this holiday effort. According to a release, the Children’s Aid Society of Algoma will distribute these meals to families who need them most.

The project saw support from several local businesses, including PUC, S&T Group, Sweet Greetings, Trimount Construction, and CAVACTIS Public Relations. Other contributors included Pet Smart, Henderson Metal, Wholesale Club, Algoma Autism Society, and the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District. These partnerships are instrumental in ensuring the success of the program.

Owner of Feeding Your Soul, Mary Greenwood, emphasized the significance of this initiative. She stated, “A meal and a moment of joy can mean so much to families who may be struggling.” The holiday season can be particularly challenging for many, making such contributions vital for community support.

This collaborative effort exemplifies how local businesses and organizations can come together to make a difference. With the holiday season in full swing, initiatives like this highlight the importance of generosity and community spirit.
