Northern Ontario Man Wins $100,000 in Instant Plinko Lottery
A resident of Azilda, Ontario, has won a remarkable lottery prize of $100,000 through a ticket for the Instant Plinko game. Robert St. Onge, who resides in the northern Ontario community, celebrated his win in Toronto after revealing a Plinko “chip” prize on his instant game ticket.
Instant Plinko is a $5 lottery scratch ticket, part of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation’s offerings, with odds of winning any prize set at 1 in 3.96. This unique game merges traditional scratch play with an engaging experience where players can see prizes revealed via an animated chip drop on a lottery terminal screen. Additionally, winners may have the opportunity to drop a chip on a real Plinko board at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto, with potential winnings of up to $500,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at GP Convenience on Notre-Dame Street East in Azilda, as confirmed by the OLG. Despite the significant win, St. Onge has not disclosed any details regarding his plans for the windfall. Local retailer representatives expressed their excitement, stating, “Congratulations, Robert,” in a news release on Wednesday.
While celebrating this win, the OLG emphasizes the importance of responsible gaming. According to their website, “OLG supports safe play and wants to keep the fun in the game,” highlighting their commitment to promoting responsible gambling through their globally recognized Playsmart program. This initiative offers resources and information for individuals seeking help with gambling-related issues.
For those interested in learning more about the Instant Plinko game or other lottery offerings, further details are available on the OLG’s official website.
