Community Mourns the Loss of Mark Tanner, Beloved Family Man

Mark Tanner, born on October 1, 1964, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, in the presence of his devoted wife, Dana. The couple shared a journey of love and companionship for over 31 years, a bond that resonated in the lives of those who knew them.

Known for his vivacious personality, Mark was often described as the life of the party. His unique ability to bring joy and warmth into every gathering made him a cherished friend and family member. Mark had a passion for singing, playing darts, and engaging in spirited card and domino games with loved ones. His endearing catchphrase, “Really?” became a hallmark of his interactions, consistently eliciting smiles and laughter.

Mark’s passing leaves a significant void. He is predeceased by his sister, Christine, and his father, Ron. He is survived by his mother, Margaret; his daughter, Ashlee (Tim); stepsisters, Christine (Jay) and Carol; stepson, Andrew (Amanda); and siblings, Monique, Alvin (Theresa), and Harold (Lynn). Mark was also a proud grandfather to over 25 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Memorial Arrangements and Community Support

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial visitation will occur at Corbett Funeral Home, located at 95 Dundas Street N., on December 9, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM. The service will follow at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Family and friends are encouraged to gather and celebrate Mark’s life, with a larger event planned for the summer of 2026 to honor the laughter and love he shared.
