Spa Pacifico Celebrates First Year in Mill Bay with Unique Offerings
Spa Pacifico in Mill Bay has officially celebrated its first anniversary, marking a successful year in the wellness sector. Opened on December 17, 2022, the spa has quickly become a local favorite, providing a range of treatments aimed at promoting relaxation and rejuvenation.
Owner Ruth Tellez, originally from Colombia, has brought her extensive experience and passion for client care to Mill Bay. Tellez moved to Canada in 2004 and spent 11 years in Ontario before relocating to Vancouver Island in search of a milder climate. After managing the Cowichan Bay Spa, which closed in November 2022, Tellez seized the opportunity to establish Spa Pacifico and continue serving her loyal clients.
Embracing a Community-Centered Approach
Tellez’s commitment to her clients is evident in her philosophy of creating a welcoming and nurturing environment. “I wanted to keep my clients and make more,” Tellez stated. With 18 years of experience in the spa industry, she and her team prioritize professionalism and quality service. Alongside Tellez, Spa Pacifico employs two part-time staff members and a full-time specialist, Lucie Vidlickova, who focuses on body treatments and massages.
The spa offers a diverse selection of services, including facials, manicures, pedicures, and specialized massages like Hot Stone and Deep Tissue. Tellez highlighted the popularity of their couples’ massage, which provides a unique opportunity for clients to relax together in a private setting.
To ensure the best possible experience, Spa Pacifico uses high-quality organic products, notably from the Eminence line. “We believe in the power of nature to nurture, heal, and rejuvenate,” Tellez explained. This commitment to natural ingredients underlines their treatment philosophy, focusing on holistic well-being.
Promotions and Community Engagement
As part of their anniversary celebration, Spa Pacifico is currently offering a 15% discount on their detox body treatment until the end of January. This service, which includes a full-body scrub, mask, and massage, is designed to hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. Tellez encourages clients to consider self-care as part of their New Year’s resolutions, emphasizing the importance of relaxation and personal well-being.
Gift cards are also available, making Spa Pacifico an attractive option for those looking to share wellness experiences with friends and family. The spa operates from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 18:00, and is located at Unit 320, 2720 Mill Bay Rd.
Reflecting on her first year, Tellez expressed her joy in building connections with clients, many of whom have become friends. “I want people to feel comfortable when they arrive, and when they leave, I want them to feel more relaxed than when they came in,” she said.
Spa Pacifico’s focus on community and quality service has positioned it as a go-to destination for wellness in Mill Bay. With plans for future growth, including the potential addition of a registered massage therapist, Tellez is enthusiastic about continuing to serve the community and fostering a space for relaxation and rejuvenation.
