Health Canada Recalls Infans Stroller for Choking Hazard
Health Canada has announced a nationwide recall of the Infans Baby Stroller due to a choking hazard posed to children. The recall affects approximately 270 units sold across Canada on Amazon from January 2024 to December 2025. Consumers are urged to stop using the stroller immediately and contact Infans for further instructions.
The recall was prompted after testing by Health Canada revealed that the stroller does not comply with Canadian safety regulations. Specifically, the grab bar of the Infans Baby Stroller is accessible to children and contains foam material that may release small parts, leading to a potential choking hazard.
Details of the Recall
The affected strollers are identified by model number 704 and are available in three colours: pink (BC10134PI), grey (BC10134GR), and black (BC10134BK). Health Canada has indicated that a repair kit will be provided to consumers once it becomes available.
In an official statement, Health Canada emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety standards, particularly for products intended for children. Parents and guardians are advised to check their strollers against the recall notice and to contact Infans directly for more information regarding the return process and available remedies.
The recall illustrates the ongoing commitment of Health Canada to ensure consumer safety and the adherence of products to established safety standards. For additional details, consumers can visit the Health Canada website or contact Infans customer service.
This recall serves as a reminder to parents to remain vigilant about the safety of products used by children and to report any concerns regarding product safety to the appropriate authorities.
