Dundee Township Seeks Applicants for Mental Health Board Positions
Dundee Township is actively seeking candidates to fill two vacancies on the Dundee Township Mental Health Board. Applications are being accepted until December 5, as the township looks to enhance its support for mental health services within the community.
The Mental Health Board plays a crucial role in assessing local needs, allocating funding, and coordinating services for mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. The board aims to ensure that residents of Dundee Township receive effective and accessible care.
Shefali Shah, the township supervisor, will appoint the new members with the guidance and consent of the township’s board of trustees. Those selected will serve as unpaid volunteers for a term of four years, which will run from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2029. Monthly meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday at 19:00, allowing board members to engage with ongoing initiatives and community concerns.
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must reside within Dundee Township. Necessary materials for the application include a current resume, details of any professional associations or memberships, and a letter of interest outlining their qualifications and motivations for joining the board.
Applications can be submitted via email to [email protected] or [email protected], or they can be mailed to the Dundee Township office at 611 E. Main St., Suite 201, East Dundee.
For further information, interested individuals can visit the township’s official website at dundeetownship.org/708_Board, contact [email protected], or call 847-428-8092, ext. 4. This initiative highlights Dundee Township’s commitment to improving mental health services and engaging community members in vital decision-making processes.
