Free Gardening Program to Enhance Cooking Skills in Mt. Morris
Community members in Mt. Morris are invited to participate in a free gardening program aimed at enhancing culinary skills. Organized by the Ogle County Master Gardeners, this educational event will take place on March 25, 2024, from 18:00 to 19:00 at the Mt. Morris Public Library, located at 105 S. McKendrie Ave.
This program focuses on the rewarding practice of growing fresh herbs at home. Participants will learn how to create herb gardens suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. The session will provide valuable techniques for maintaining these herbs throughout the year, along with recipes for incorporating them into daily meals.
Interested individuals should note that space is limited. To secure a spot, registrations can be made online at https://signup.com/go/DBbvfrz, or by calling the library directly at 815-734-4927. The event is open to all adults aged 18 and older.
For further inquiries or to request accommodations for participation, Jan Saglier, the Program Coordinator, can be contacted at 815-544-3710 or via email at [email protected].
This initiative not only promotes gardening but also encourages community engagement through shared culinary experiences.
