Ikigai Impact Inc. has appointed Kyla as the new Community Development and Housing Strategy Lead for Western Canada, effective from March 2, 2026. This newly created position underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing affordable housing initiatives throughout the region. With a portfolio of over 60 properties across Quebec and Alberta, Ikigai Impact aims to deepen its community engagement and expand its impact-driven approach.

Kyla brings a wealth of experience to her role, having previously worked with Leston Holdings. Since 2019, she has been an integral part of the Edmonton housing ecosystem, focusing on affordable and supportive housing. A strong advocate for Housing First initiatives, her commitment extends beyond mere shelter to fostering genuine communities for residents.

In her new capacity, Kyla will spearhead community-focused development initiatives across Western Canada. Her responsibilities will involve aligning housing strategy with community partnerships and operational excellence. “I lead community-centred development initiatives across Western Canada, working at the intersection of housing, partnerships, and operational strategy,” Kyla stated. She emphasized her dedication to translating vision into practical systems that enhance community cohesion, highlighting her passion for relational work and equity-informed housing practices.

Ikigai’s President and CEO, Nikolai, expressed his excitement regarding Kyla’s appointment. “I am very proud and grateful to have been able to attract such a talented, experienced, and respected leader from the Edmonton housing community,” he said. Nikolai believes Kyla’s leadership will position Ikigai Impact as a guiding light in both Edmonton and the broader Western Canada region.

This strategic appointment aligns with Ikigai Impact’s ongoing mission to create lasting, positive change in communities across Canada. The company continues to focus on expanding its impact-driven initiatives while deepening its roots within the communities it serves.

Founded on the belief that the manner in which wealth is generated is more significant than the amount itself, Ikigai Impact operates with a purpose-driven approach. The company currently manages over 60 affordable housing properties and has an additional 2,500 apartments in its development pipeline.
