FBI Warns of AI Deepfake Kidnapping Scams Targeting Families
The FBI has issued a stark warning regarding a rising threat: hackers are increasingly using AI-generated deepfake videos to orchestrate kidnapping scams. These criminals manipulate online images and videos to create convincing scenarios, pressuring victims into paying ransoms under the guise of proof of life.
