Langley Foundation Inspires Community Love with New Initiatives

The Langley Foundation is calling on residents to express their love for the community through a new initiative that aims to strengthen local bonds. Established just three years ago, the foundation has quickly become a vital player in enhancing the quality of life in both the city and township of Langley, Canada. According to Inga Warnock, Director of Planned Giving, the foundation is dedicated to making a lasting impact by connecting individuals, non-profits, and organizations with meaningful causes.

With a mission to foster a caring environment, the foundation has undertaken various projects that range from tree planting to forming partnerships with local businesses and organizations such as Rotary. One notable achievement involved a collaboration with Applewood Kia Langley, which resulted in the donation of a much-needed van to support Meals on Wheels. “We’re committed to making Langley even better, and when you support your community foundation, all the money received stays right here in the community,” Warnock emphasizes.

The I Love Langley initiative is the foundation’s latest effort to unite residents in their appreciation for their community. It encourages families, neighbors, and local leaders to come together to build a connected and thriving environment. Warnock remarked, “We’re so fortunate to live in this amazing place, and working together, we can make it even better.”

To achieve its goals, the Langley Foundation focuses on three strategic areas: enhancing community spaces, supporting local non-profits, and fostering community engagement. Fundraising efforts are primarily project-based, ensuring that all donations have a direct impact. Contributions are tax-deductible and can be made easily through the foundation’s secure donation page. Donors can choose to make one-time gifts or recurring monthly contributions, with the option to specify how their funds will be used.

“In establishing the foundation in Langley, we wanted to ensure that if people wanted to donate to their community, and to causes that matter to them, they had an opportunity to do so,” Warnock stated.
