Call to Arms: Gates of Hell Hits One Million Sales, Launches Expansion
Call to Arms: Gates of Hell has surpassed a significant milestone, selling over one million copies since its release. This achievement, celebrated by developers Digitalmindsoft and Barbed Wire Studios, highlights the dedication of a global gaming community that continues to support the title and its downloadable content (DLC). To commemorate this success, the developers have announced the launch of their most ambitious expansion to date, titled Finest Hour.
New Expansion Focuses on Historical Accuracy
The Finest Hour expansion shifts the action to the Western Front during World War II, capturing the rapid advancements of the Blitzkrieg in France and extending toward the final battles within Germany. This addition aims to immerse players in critical moments faced by the British Empire, all presented with a commitment to historical accuracy that enhances the gaming experience.
As the largest content update in the franchise’s history, Finest Hour introduces an impressive array of features. Players can expect more than 1,000 new environment assets that enhance the landscapes of the Netherlands and Flanders. Additionally, the expansion offers 170 new vehicles and a diverse collection of human models and equipment, thus expanding the capabilities of both the Commonwealth and German forces.
Comprehensive Gameplay Enhancements
With this expansion, the Commonwealth emerges as a fully playable faction in both Conquest and Multiplayer modes, spanning the early, mid, and late periods of the war. The new content also includes two substantial campaigns. The Commonwealth storyline comprises seven missions alongside three single engagements, while the German campaign features five missions and one extra engagement.
Moreover, players will discover a broader array of battlefields, with a total of 20 maps for Multiplayer and 25 maps for Conquest. This expansion not only adds depth to gameplay but also reinforces the growing legacy of Call to Arms: Gates of Hell, which continues to thrive with the support of its dedicated community.
As Digitalmindsoft and Barbed Wire Studios prepare for the launch of Finest Hour, the future looks promising for this title, driven by a renewed momentum and an ever-expanding player base.
