Ehrenburg Homes Showcases Versatile Richmond Floor Plan at Parade

The Parade of Homes, organized by the Saskatoon and Region Home Builders’ Association (SRHBA), continues to attract attention until October 19, 2023, across five locations in Saskatoon, Warman, and Martensville. Among the featured properties is the Richmond floor plan by Ehrenburg Homes, located at 119 Traeger Common in Brighton. This show home exemplifies the versatility and popularity of the design, which spans 1,549 square feet and includes three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms.
“This is a very traditional layout for us,” said Dianna Calkins, sales manager at Ehrenburg Homes. “It is one of our most popular single-family attached layouts.” This year, the Richmond has been adapted for a multi-family complex, allowing potential buyers access to a lower price point while maintaining the essential features of a family home.
The Richmond floor plan gained recognition previously in the Myles Heidt Manor development in Aspen Ridge, featured in last year’s Parade of Homes. Its adaptability has made it a standout choice for Ehrenburg, which has utilized this design in various neighborhoods across the city.
Unique Features and Affordability
Calkins emphasized the importance of the Richmond’s design, noting, “These are townhouses.” The development allows buyers to enjoy the space and qualities typically associated with single-family homes while avoiding the long-term financial commitments of condominium fees. The freehold title zoning offers a significant reduction in long-term expenses, appealing to a broad range of buyers.
Potential homeowners can personalize their outdoor space, with options for private fencing and landscaping. A finished deck enhances the backyard, providing an inviting area for outdoor enjoyment. “This development gives people more affordability options, which is really important right now because there’s such a variety of affordability price points,” Calkins added.
The Richmond has been designed thoughtfully, featuring a modern kitchen layout that includes a large island ideal for meal preparation and casual dining. The presence of two pantries further emphasizes the ample storage throughout the home, which also includes additional closet and linen space on the main floor. Calkins remarked, “I have never seen so much storage space in a 1,500 square foot floor plan in my life.”
Family-Friendly Design and Future-Ready Features
Upstairs, the Richmond offers a spacious bonus room alongside the three bedrooms. This feature is particularly appealing for families with young children who desire a dedicated play area or for remote workers needing a quiet office space. The convenience of having the laundry facilities on the upper level adds to the home’s practicality.
The owner’s suite is equipped with a walk-in closet and a generous ensuite, providing a comfortable retreat. As with all Ehrenburg homes, the Richmond comes prepared for future solar panel installations, featuring extra trusses in the roof structure for easy adaptation.
The basement offers an additional 574 square feet of potential living space, while an attached garage enhances both storage and parking options.
The Parade of Homes will continue to showcase these homes until October 19, 2023, with viewing hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00, and Saturday, Sunday, and Thanksgiving Monday from 14:00 to 17:00. Ehrenburg Homes’ Richmond floor plan highlights the growing demand for affordable yet spacious housing options, meeting the needs of diverse buyers in today’s market.
