Vortex Energy Launches Advanced Sensor Deployment at Robinsons River Salt Project

Vortex Energy (CSE: VRTX; OTC: VTECF) has successfully deployed all ambient noise tomography (ANT) sensors at its Robinsons River salt project located in Newfoundland and Labrador. This significant achievement follows the crew mobilization announcement made on August 5, 2025. The deployment marks a crucial step in the company’s ongoing efforts to advance the project, which comprises a total of 942 claims spanning 235 square kilometers (23,500 hectares) approximately 35 kilometers south of Stephenville.
The Robinsons River salt project is considered prospective for both salt production and hydrogen salt cavern storage. The ANT sensors will remain operational for several weeks, passively capturing seismic noise within the project area. After the recording period concludes, field crews will return to retrieve the sensors and process the gathered data. The high-resolution subsurface images generated from this data are expected to assist in identifying structural features and refining targets for future drilling endeavors.
Paul Sparkes, CEO of Vortex Energy, expressed enthusiasm about the deployment, stating, “The successful deployment of the ANT sensors marks another important step forward for the Robinsons River salt project. We look forward to the valuable insights that this survey will provide as we advance our technical understanding and prepare for the next phase of exploration.”
In addition to this development, Vortex Energy is receiving financial support through the junior exploration assistance (JEA) program, which is administered by the Department of Industry, Energy and Technology for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador. This support underscores the project’s potential and the government’s commitment to fostering exploration in the region.
The deployment of these advanced sensors represents a vital move for Vortex Energy as it seeks to enhance its exploration capabilities and expand its understanding of the subsurface environment. The forthcoming data will play a crucial role in shaping the next steps for the Robinsons River project, paving the way for future growth and innovation in the field.
