Family Mourns the Sudden Passing of Jody Howard Schroeder

The family of Jody Howard Schroeder has announced his unexpected passing on January 14, 2026, at the age of 55. Jody’s departure has left a profound impact on his family and friends, as he is remembered for his dedication and hard work throughout his life.

Born and raised in Massey, Jody is now reunited with his parents, Ernest and Theresa Schroeder. He is survived by his siblings: Peter (Maija Pollari), Mary Jane Hiller, Donald (Cheryl), Peggy Chessel (Rick), along with the late David, James, and Holly Bussieres (Marc). His loving nature has left a lasting impression on his nieces and nephews: Crista, Tsjarda, Amy, Matthew, Lindsay, Peter, and Kyle.

Jody was passionate about his work and took immense pride in his skills. He studied Auto Mechanics at Sault College, where he developed a strong foundation for his career. His talents extended beyond mechanics; he engaged in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and welding. Jody found peace in working with his hands, and his commitment to his craft was evident in everything he undertook.

A graveside service will be held at a later date, where he will be laid to rest alongside his parents in Massey. The family encourages memorial contributions to a charity of choice, which can be made by cheque or online.
