Noodle Cat Games has announced that its highly anticipated action RPG, Cloudheim, will enter Early Access on PC starting December 4, 2023. The game will be available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, providing players with access to a physics-driven adventure that emphasizes chaotic combat and innovative weapon crafting.

This announcement was made during the recent Galaxies Showcase, where a new trailer was unveiled, showcasing the game’s unique mechanics. Players can engage in cooperative multiplayer experiences, teaming up in groups of up to four in a fully destructible world. The gameplay encourages creative experimentation, as participants can utilize various elements, such as toppled pillars, tornadoes, and explosive barrels, to gain an advantage in battles.

The demo version of Cloudheim gained significant popularity during the Steam Next Fest, making it one of the most played offerings. The demo will remain available for players to explore its distinct physics-based mechanics, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the game prior to its full release.

Gameplay and Features of Cloudheim

In Cloudheim, players have the opportunity to craft hundreds of weapons, gear, and attacks in real-time, eliminating the need for menus or downtime. Loot is shared among the team, while each hero advances individually, promoting cooperation within a persistent gaming environment.

The adventure spans a variety of islands and dungeons, allowing players to expand their flying turtle base known as the Odin Shell. Players can upgrade workshops, run shops, customize their fortress, and discover hidden secrets throughout the game’s colorful landscape, which draws inspiration from Norse mythology.

David Hunt, CEO and Founder of Noodle Cat Games, expressed his excitement for the upcoming release. He stated, “After seeing the reaction to our demo, the whole team is excited to get the full game into the hands of players. It’s been awesome to see the wild things people have done in-game, sometimes even surprising our devs. This is just the beginning, though, as we’re planning to add more content while working with players to make Cloudheim the best game it can be.”

As the release date approaches, gamers can look forward to a blend of action, creativity, and collaboration that Cloudheim promises to deliver. The early access phase will provide valuable feedback for the developers, ensuring the final product meets the expectations of its growing community.
