This update follows the rollout of Android 16 for the Xperia 1 VII last month, marking a significant upgrade for the company’s 2025 flagship model. This update is approximately 850MB in size and includes the October security patch, according to reports from users on Reddit. This marks the second major update for the Xperia 1 VI, following the introduction of Android 15 in November 2024. Under Sony’s software update schedule, the phone is set to receive one additional major update in the future.
