Cannabix Technologies Expands BreathLogix Alcohol Screening in Europe
Cannabix Technologies Inc. has secured a second sales agreement for its innovative BreathLogix unmanned alcohol screening technology with an existing customer in the European maritime shipping sector. This agreement, announced on December 2, 2025, aims to enhance safety protocols among crew members by integrating pre-access breath alcohol testing into their operations.
The latest BreathLogix unit will utilize the cloud-based **BreathLogix Connect** platform, powered by Amazon Web Services. This integration allows for real-time alerts and centralized data management, enhancing the efficiency of safety measures. The BreathLogix system is designed to provide accurate Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) readings, ensuring that crew members are fit for duty before embarking on their shifts.
One of the key features of the BreathLogix device is its **facial recognition technology**, which enables rapid and secure identification of crew members. This functionality is critical in maintaining a safe working environment in sectors where operational safety is paramount, including maritime, mining, oil and gas, industrial, trucking, and warehousing.
BreathLogix unmanned alcohol screening devices are engineered for efficiency, providing quick and precise alcohol checks while simultaneously capturing a photo of the user. This ensures that test results are not only accurate but also verifiable. The system sends real-time reports via SMS and email, alerting management to any positive results that may necessitate immediate action.
The BreathLogix device supports various testing scenarios, including start-of-shift, mandated, pre-employment, return-to-work, random, and post-incident testing. Its versatility is further enhanced by the ability to integrate with other security systems such as doors, turnstiles, and fingerprint readers.
Cannabix Technologies has positioned BreathLogix as a leading solution in the breath alcohol screening market. This device is listed on the **U.S. Federal Register Conforming Products List** (CPL) for breath alcohol screening devices, overseen by the **National Highway Traffic Safety Administration** (NHTSA). The technology includes patent-pending pre-calibrated sensor cartridges, allowing for effortless maintenance without the need for costly calibration equipment or technician visits.
This expansion into the maritime market reflects Cannabix’s commitment to enhancing safety across industries where alcohol consumption poses significant risks. By partnering with existing clients to implement advanced screening technologies, the company aims to reduce the possibility of accidents and injuries related to impaired crew members.
On behalf of Cannabix Technologies, CEO **Rav Mlait** emphasized the importance of continuous improvement in safety measures within high-risk industries. The company seeks to maintain a strong presence in the market by providing effective and innovative solutions that address the growing need for operational safety.
As Cannabix Technologies continues to develop its product offerings, it remains mindful of the challenges ahead, including regulatory compliance and market acceptance. The company is committed to navigating these complexities while striving to enhance the efficacy of its alcohol screening technologies.
