Third Graders at Dimmick School Launch ‘Small School, Big Hearts’ Drive
Students at Dimmick School in La Salle have initiated a heartwarming toy drive, dubbed the “Small School, Big Hearts” campaign, aimed at spreading joy and generosity this holiday season. The third graders led the effort on December 2, 2025, collecting donations from their peers, families, and the local community.
The campaign embodies the values of kindness, community spirit, and the importance of giving back. As part of this initiative, students will wrap the collected toys and gifts, which will then be delivered to Officer Santa with the La Salle Police Department and the charitable organization St. Jude. These donations will bring cheer to children in need during the festive period.
Dimmick School is accepting contributions until December 12, 2025. The school encourages community members to participate in this meaningful cause, emphasizing that every gift, no matter how small, can make a significant difference in the lives of others. The drive serves not only to provide toys but also to instill a sense of empathy and social responsibility among the students.
This initiative highlights the potential of young individuals to impact their communities positively. As the third graders rally support for the campaign, they set an inspiring example of how collective efforts can amplify the spirit of generosity. The “Small School, Big Hearts” campaign is a reminder that acts of kindness can create ripples of goodwill that extend far beyond their immediate surroundings.
