Interfaith Food Bank Offers Holiday Treats for Community Support
The Interfaith Food Bank is embracing the festive spirit by launching a Christmas Treat Sale, inviting community members to enjoy a selection of homemade holiday goodies. This initiative, organized at the Co-op Community Kitchen, aims to support the food bank’s programs and services while spreading cheer during the holiday season.
Food Recovery Volunteers have been working diligently to prepare a variety of treats that include traditional holiday cookies and squares. According to organizers, demand for these items is expected to be high, making them ideal gifts for clients, employees, family, friends, and neighbors.
To ensure everyone can enjoy these festive offerings, community members are encouraged to reserve their treat boxes in advance. Payment is accepted upon pickup, allowing for a convenient purchasing experience.
Available Treat Options and Pricing
The Christmas Treat Sale features two options for treat boxes:
– Small Treat Box: $15 (approximately 16 pieces)
– Large Treat Box: $35 (approximately 32 pieces, plus an eggnog loaf)
Individuals wishing to place an order can reserve their treat boxes online at www.interfaithfoodbank.ca/treatbox. All treats are freshly baked and then frozen, ensuring they are in prime condition for the holiday celebrations.
Pickup Details and Additional Information
Treats will be available for pickup during the Christmas Market on December 6, 2023, from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Interfaith Food Bank. For those with larger orders, invoicing options are available to facilitate the process.
For more information about the Interfaith Food Bank and its initiatives, interested parties can visit www.interfaithfoodbank.ca or contact the organization directly at 403-320-8779. This holiday season, supporting the community is just a sweet treat away.
