Health Canada Seizes Ivermectin and Other Unapproved Drugs in B.C.
Health Canada has confiscated a variety of “unauthorized” health products, including ivermectin, from a business in Kelowna, British Columbia. The agency conducted an inspection of Ezra Healing on October 30, 2023, in response to allegations of violations of the Food and Drugs Act and related regulations. The seizure was confirmed in an email sent to The Epoch Times on November 7, 2023.
During the inspection, Health Canada seized a range of prescription drugs that had not been approved for sale, including ivermectin, mebendazole, hydroxychloroquine, and azithromycin. These products were reportedly being marketed by the owner of Ezra Healing, Svetlana Rilkoff, who claimed they could treat serious medical conditions, including cancer.
The inspection followed multiple complaints regarding the sale of these products without the necessary authorization. Health Canada stated that distributing unapproved medications poses significant health risks to consumers. The agency emphasized that all medications must undergo rigorous evaluation to ensure their safety and effectiveness before they can be sold to the public.
Rilkoff documented the inspection on social media, asserting that the ivermectin targeted by Health Canada was effective in treating cancer and injuries caused by vaccines. In her video, Rilkoff claimed that the seizure of these products would prevent individuals from accessing potentially life-saving treatments.
Health Canada has reiterated the importance of compliance with established health regulations to protect public health. The agency is committed to ensuring that only safe and approved products are available to consumers in Canada.
As the situation develops, Health Canada will continue to monitor the distribution of unauthorized health products and take necessary actions to uphold public safety. The seizure of ivermectin and other drugs from Ezra Healing highlights the ongoing challenges in regulating alternative health treatments and the potential risks associated with unverified health claims.
