More than 40 local authors will participate in a two-day book fair at the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library on October 24 and 25, 2023. The event will be held from 13:00 to 16:00 each day, taking place on all levels of the library. This initiative aims to connect the public with writers who have ties to Grey and Bruce Counties.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the authors, purchase their books, and enjoy interactive activities such as the library’s Plinko game. Additionally, participants can enter to win various prizes throughout the event. The book fair will cover a wide array of genres, ensuring there is something for everyone.

To encourage participation, library cardholders will be entered into a draw for a book bundle simply by showing their library card. Furthermore, those who purchase a book from any of the attending authors will have the chance to win back the price of their book in a separate draw.

This year marks the second annual showcase of local authors at the library, reflecting the growing interest in community literary events. A complete list of authors participating can be found on the library’s website.

For additional inquiries, interested individuals can contact the library at 519-376-6623 ext. 3 or via email at [email protected]. This event not only promotes local talent but also fosters a love for reading within the community.
