Transit users in the region should prepare for disruptions this Sunday, August 24, as Grand River Transit has announced a temporary suspension of the ION train service. The service will be halted between Conestoga Station and Fairway Station until 13:00 local time due to planned maintenance activities.

During this period, shuttle buses will replace the train service. Passengers can find shuttle pick-up points at or near the ION stations, with specific locations available on the Grand River Transit website. These shuttle buses will operate every 15 minutes and will make stops at each ION station along the route, ensuring minimal inconvenience for commuters.

Regular service is expected to resume around 13:00. Riders are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and consider the shuttle service as an alternative for the morning period.

For further information and updates, passengers can visit the Grand River Transit website.
