Futuristic Denshattack! Launches in 2025 with High-Octane Gameplay

Denshattack! is set to redefine gaming with its unique blend of high-speed rail action and skateboarding flair. Developed by Undercoders in collaboration with Fireshine Games, the game was officially announced during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Scheduled for release in March 2025, it will be available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will launch on day one via Game Pass.
The game promises an exhilarating experience as players navigate through over 50 levels, mastering rail-hopping tricks and combos. From drifting along walls to leaping over vast chasms, the gameplay emphasizes speed, precision, and style. High-stakes boss encounters further challenge players, rewarding those who excel with access to new levels and skills.
Exploring a Dystopian Japan
Set against a stark backdrop of a dystopian Japan, Denshattack! depicts a world divided by wealth and power. The affluent reside in protective domed cities, benefiting from the advanced VACTRAIN system developed by the megacorporation Miraido. In contrast, the less fortunate endure life in the desolate wastelands. Here, a rebellious faction has repurposed the abandoned railways into battlegrounds where underground gangs compete for territory and respect.
At the helm of this ambitious project is game director David Jaumandreu, known for his work on NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound. He is joined by renowned composer Tee Lopes, celebrated for his contributions to Sonic Mania and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Lopes is set to enhance the game’s soundtrack with additional guest musicians collaborating through the music label Kid Katana.
Jaumandreu expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “Creating the world of Denshattack! has been a joy for the team. Inspired by the art, culture, and music of Japan, and, of course, our love of trains and skateboarding, Denshattack! is a project we’ve wanted to make for a long time, and we can’t wait for the world to experience what we’ve been building.”
Gameplay and Community Engagement
Players will have the opportunity to create their own unique trick style, unlock various upgrades, and emerge as champions across Japan’s reclaimed railways. In anticipation of the game’s release, fans can already enjoy a taste of its energetic vibe through Lopes’ new single, Densha ni notte ne! (電車に乗ってね!), featured in the promotional trailer.
As the gaming community awaits the launch of Denshattack!, excitement continues to build around its innovative gameplay and immersive storytelling. With its distinctive premise and collaborative soundtrack, the game is poised to make a significant impact in the gaming landscape upon its release.
