Apogee Entertainment Unveils Single-Player Campaign for Quest Master

Apogee Entertainment has announced the upcoming single-player story campaign for its game, Quest Master, set to launch later this year as it exits Steam Early Access. The revelation occurred during gamescom, where the developers showcased a new narrative-driven experience that aims to enhance the game’s already rich world of community-created content.
Since its initial release in May 2024, Quest Master has become a hub for creativity, allowing players to design and share over 5,000 unique dungeons across seven elemental themes. With its upcoming 1.0 release, the game will shift its focus to a new region known as Aetheria. Players will engage in a full story campaign that delves into the lore of this vibrant world while exploring a bustling Castle Town filled with non-playable characters (NPCs) and new interactions.
The campaign will be further enriched by an original soundtrack that features compositions inspired by the game’s existing musical elements. “Quest Master is two games in one,” said Jeron Moore, Game Director and Executive Producer at Apogee Entertainment. “On one hand, it’s a robust dungeon-building platform powered by community creativity and endless replayability. On the other hand, it’s a story-rich adventure filled with memorable characters, layered mysteries, and a world that grows deeper the more you explore.”
Players can expect to venture beneath Aetheria, facing dark forces that threaten to corrupt the Great Barrier, which protects the kingdom. This journey will involve forming alliances with colorful characters and exploring dynamic biomes, all while uncovering hidden secrets beneath the land’s surface.
Blending nostalgia with modern game design, Quest Master aims to serve as both a tribute to classic dungeon crawlers and a creative outlet for builders. The game is currently available in Early Access on Windows PC, macOS, and SteamOS via Steam for $19.99. A free demo is also accessible for new players eager to experience the game firsthand.
As Quest Master prepares for its full launch, the anticipation among players and the gaming community continues to grow, solidifying its place as a notable title in the genre.
