Prince Albert Science Centre Unleashes Slime Fun Ahead of Halloween

The Prince Albert Science Centre is set to offer a unique, hands-on experience this October as it hosts a slime lab in celebration of the Halloween season. On October 18, 19, 25, and 26, families can engage in fun and creativity from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a nominal fee of $10 per container.
During this event, children and their parents will have the opportunity to create and decorate their own slime, fostering both artistic expression and scientific exploration. This interactive activity is designed to be enjoyable for all ages, making it a perfect addition to the Halloween festivities.
Slime Lab: A Fun and Educational Experience
On a recent visit, paNOW reporter Nigel Maxwell participated in the slime-making process and spoke with Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre. Williams expressed enthusiasm about the event, highlighting its potential to engage young minds in science through playful activities.
“We want to make science fun and accessible,” Williams said. “Events like the slime lab allow children to explore their creativity while learning basic scientific principles.”
The slime lab is expected to attract a significant number of participants, offering not only entertainment but also educational value. Each session allows families to bond over crafting their own slime, providing a memorable experience that combines learning with play.
Get Involved This October
With Halloween approaching, the slime lab at the Prince Albert Science Centre presents a timely opportunity for families to engage in seasonal activities. Participants are encouraged to register in advance to secure their slots, as the popularity of such events often leads to full sessions.
This initiative by the Prince Albert Science Centre not only caters to the festive spirit but also reinforces the importance of hands-on learning in science education. Whether it’s the gooey texture or the vibrant colors, the slime lab promises to be a highlight of the autumn calendar.
Parents interested in joining the fun should mark their calendars for the designated dates. The slime lab stands as a testament to the Prince Albert Science Centre’s commitment to fostering a love for science in the community through engaging and interactive experiences.
