Prince Albert Science Centre Hosts Halloween Slime Lab for Families

As Halloween approaches, the Prince Albert Science Centre is offering a festive, hands-on activity for families. On October 18, 19, 25, and 26, the centre will host a slime lab from 12:00 to 16:00, allowing children and their parents to create and personalize their own slime. For a fee of only $10 per container, participants can enjoy an afternoon of gooey fun.
The slime lab is part of the centre’s initiative to engage the community with interactive science experiences. Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming events, emphasizing the importance of creativity and learning through play. “We want to provide an opportunity for families to bond while exploring the fascinating science behind slime,” she stated.
On October 14, local journalist Nigel Maxwell visited the science centre to experience the slime-making process firsthand. His involvement highlights the centre’s role in fostering community engagement and promoting educational activities. Maxwell noted that the slime lab is a fantastic way for children to explore their creativity while also learning about the properties of different materials.
The science centre, located in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, aims to provide STEM-related activities that are both entertaining and educational. The slime lab is designed to cater to a wide age range, making it a suitable outing for families looking for Halloween-themed activities.
In addition to slime-making, the centre offers various programs throughout the year that encourage scientific exploration and curiosity. As Halloween festivities ramp up, the slime lab promises to be a popular attraction for families in the area, enabling children to create their own unique concoctions while having fun.
With the current price point of $10 for a slime-making session, the event offers an affordable activity for families looking to celebrate the Halloween season. The Prince Albert Science Centre looks forward to welcoming participants and providing them with a memorable experience filled with laughter and learning.
