Canadian Innovation Nation Event Set to Inspire on November 26

The Walrus will host the Innovation Nation event on November 26, 2025, at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa. This initiative aims to highlight the transformative research originating from Canadian universities and its vital role in shaping a resilient future for the nation.
The evening will feature rapid-fire presentations from award-winning researchers and innovative experts. Each speaker will have seven minutes to discuss how their groundbreaking work is generating significant real-world impact, ranging from life-saving medical advancements to pioneering climate solutions and developments in artificial intelligence.
Celebrating Homegrown Innovation
With a focus on homegrown innovation, the event will showcase how Canadian research is not only fueling the economy but also enhancing the well-being of citizens. Attendees can expect to hear inspiring stories about visionary ideas that have been translated into practical solutions. The speakers will illustrate the ways in which their work contributes to Canada’s leadership on the global stage.
While the full list of speakers is yet to be announced, the event promises to attract a diverse group of thought leaders committed to advancing knowledge and progress in their fields.
Event Details and Accessibility
The Walrus Talks Innovation Nation will take place from 19:00 to 21:00 ET. General admission tickets are priced at $20, while student and senior tickets are available for $12. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be offered free of charge with prior registration.
The organizers emphasize inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.
