The Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for the Chamber Champion Award, which recognizes outstanding leadership and service within the community. This prestigious accolade highlights individuals or groups whose contributions have significantly enhanced the quality of life in the Sauk Valley.

The Chamber Champion Award aims to honor those who demonstrate exceptional dedication and vision in making the region a better place to live, work, and thrive. Nominees should exemplify a commitment that goes beyond mere professional achievements, encompassing volunteer efforts and initiatives that foster community engagement and development.

Past recipients of this esteemed award include notable figures such as Tim McNinch, John Gvodjak, and Matt Prescott, as well as organizations like the Rock River Hospice and Home Board of Directors and Church Women United. Each of these honorees has left a lasting impact on the Sauk Valley through their selfless service and leadership.

Nominators are encouraged to describe the specific ways in which their chosen individual or organization has positively influenced the community. Examples that illustrate the nominee’s impact will strengthen the nomination and highlight the importance of their contributions.

Nominations can be submitted online at bit.ly/3LejBNg or via email to [email protected]. Those submitting nominations should include both the nominee’s contact information and their own. The deadline for nominations is Friday, December 4, 2025.

The award will be presented during the annual meeting and dinner of the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, scheduled for January 29, 2026, at the McCormick Event Center. For further details, interested parties can reach the chamber at 815-625-2400.
