New Retail Centre Breaks Ground in Calgary’s Belmont Community

A significant new outdoor retail centre is being developed in Calgary’s Belmont community. The project, covering 145,000 sq. ft., will include 14 buildings and is strategically located at 480 210th Ave. SW. Set to feature a grocery store, a drug store, and a liquor store, the centre aims to meet the shopping needs of approximately 35,000 residents who currently travel outside their area for essential goods.

The design includes quick-service and full-service restaurants, alongside a dynamic high street that will be anchored by a two-level childcare facility. Construction and Development Details

Construction on the retail centre commenced in August 2025, with an anticipated opening in summer 2027. The project is being developed through a partnership between Anthem Properties Ltd. and Harbour Equity Capital Corp.. Visitors will benefit from multiple access points from both 210th Avenue and Sheriff King Street, ensuring easy entry to the site.

This project represents Anthem Properties Ltd.’s third retail development in the Calgary area, following their successful ventures at Highstreet at Cornerstone in NW Calgary and D’Arcy Crossing in Okotoks.
