A 13-year-old dancer from Barrie, Ontario, has made history by becoming the youngest ever Junior Teen United World titleholder. Leah Knuff won the crown at the United World Pageants held in Texas, marking a significant milestone as the first Canadian to achieve this international title.

Knuff’s journey into the world of pageantry began at the age of seven, and her passion for performance has only grown since. “This has been an awesome experience,” Knuff shared in an exclusive interview with CTV News. “I’ve been doing pageants for a while now. My mom looked into it, and a few years ago I first competed at Canada Galaxy Pageants.”

Voices for Change: A Mission to Inspire

Beyond her achievements on stage, Knuff is dedicated to making a difference in her community. As a triplet, she created her own platform, Voices for Change, inspired by her sister’s journey with autism. Through this initiative, she raises awareness by sharing tips and personal stories, aiming to educate and inspire others about autism.

Knuff’s mother, Dawn Knuff, expressed pride in her daughter’s accomplishments. “Leah has always had a big heart and a passion for helping others,” she stated. Knuff’s advice for other young girls pursuing their dreams is straightforward: “Follow your dreams.”

A Flourishing Personal Journey

Knuff’s pageantry success is complemented by her interests outside of competition. She enjoys painting, reading books from the Babysitters Club series, and volunteering in her community. Additionally, she aspires to become a nail artist.

Her achievements in pageants are not new; Knuff has claimed several titles in recent years, including her first crown as International United Miss Junior Preteen in 2022. Each title has contributed to her growth, both personally and professionally. “Speaking to people has built my confidence,” she shared, illustrating how pageantry has played a role in her development.

With her historic win, Leah Knuff exemplifies the potential of young individuals to effect change and inspire others through their passions. Her story resonates with many, showcasing the intersection of talent and advocacy in the world of pageantry.
