The family of Wendy Elaine Michaud has announced her peaceful passing on November 21, 2025, at the age of 72. After a courageous battle with ongoing illness, Wendy died in the early hours at Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. Her legacy of strength, compassion, and generosity is fondly remembered by family and friends.

Wendy is survived by her son, Rob Michaud, and her cherished sisters, Janice Perkins of Florida, Frances Pickard of Quebec, and the late Carol Tarchuck. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Teddy Davieaux, as well as her brothers, Danny Jackson and Billy Michaud. Wendy leaves behind a large extended family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives she touched through her warmth and kindness.

Wendy lived life to its fullest, embodying independence and resilience. She was known for her willingness to lend a hand, whether it involved moving furniture or splitting firewood. Her passion for carpentry was evident in the many home renovation projects she undertook, showcasing her dedication and skill. Her love for decorating meant that her living spaces reflected each new chapter of her life.

Christmas celebrations at Wendy’s home were particularly memorable, marked by her impeccable festive decorations. Her competitive spirit flourished during games of washer toss, where she became a local legend, earning a trophy at Whispering Pines that will continue to honor her name. She enjoyed entertaining in her garage, playing pool, and camping, particularly at Ranger Lake and the Red Roof Inn.

In her later years, Wendy found peace and beauty at Harmony Beach, where she continued to embrace the joys of life. Following her wishes, her remains have been cremated. A celebration of her life is planned for early spring, featuring love, laughter, and her favorite games, reflecting the spirit she brought to those around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a charity of choice, honoring Wendy’s commitment to supporting others. They express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors at Sault Area Hospital for their compassionate care during Wendy’s final hours, ensuring her comfort.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton and Kiteley Chapel, located at 492 Wellington St. East. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared on their website, www.arthurfuneralhome.com, where the Michaud family appreciates the support of the community during this difficult time. Wendy’s memory will be cherished; she will be gone but never forgotten, and loved forever.
