Prince Albert Science Centre Hosts Fun Slime Lab Ahead of Halloween

As Halloween approaches, the Prince Albert Science Centre is inviting families to enjoy some creative fun with a new slime lab event. Scheduled for October 18, 19, 25, and 26, the slime lab will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. each day, allowing children and parents alike to make and decorate their own slime for just $10 per container.
The slime lab aims to provide an engaging and hands-on experience, tapping into the excitement of the Halloween season. Attendees will have the opportunity to experiment with various textures and colors, encouraging creativity and learning through play.
On October 14, local journalist Nigel Maxwell visited the science centre to get a firsthand look at the preparations for the event. During his visit, he spoke with Sandra Williams, Chair of the Prince Albert Science Centre, who highlighted the importance of such activities in fostering a love for science among young people.
“Events like the slime lab are not just about having fun. They help children understand basic scientific principles through interactive learning,” Williams mentioned. The centre aims to make science accessible and enjoyable for families, especially during festive times like Halloween.
The slime lab offers an excellent opportunity for parents to engage with their children in a light-hearted environment, combining fun with education. Families are encouraged to come and participate, creating lasting memories while exploring the fascinating world of science in a playful way.
As the event dates approach, the Prince Albert Science Centre anticipates a positive turnout, further solidifying its role as a community hub for educational entertainment. With affordable pricing and engaging activities, the slime lab promises to be a highlight of the Halloween season for many families in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
