FTAI Aviation Ltd., a prominent player in the commercial aviation sector, outlined its strategic vision at the Jefferies Mining and Industrials Conference held on September 4, 2025. During the session, Joseph Adams, Chairman, CEO, and Director of FTAI, presented the company’s mission to become the largest aftermarket engine power provider in the industry.

The conference, which aimed to engage industry leaders and investors, featured a fireside chat moderated by Sheila Kahyaoglu from the Jefferies Aerospace Defense and Airlines Equity Research Team. Adams began by emphasizing the importance of the company’s role in the aviation market, particularly concerning the V2500 and CFM56 engines, which are among the most widely used in commercial aviation today.

FTAI Aviation has positioned itself as a full-service provider for engine owners and airlines. Adams explained that the company pre-builds engines and handles maintenance, relieving airlines and lessors of increasingly complex engine maintenance tasks. This service is particularly valuable once engines transition off their original power-by-the-hour programs offered by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

In his remarks, Adams detailed FTAI’s operational framework. The company acquires run-out engines, which are then refurbished in one of its three maintenance shops. Following this, the engines are marketed as finished products available for sale, exchange, or lease. This comprehensive approach not only streamlines operations for airlines but also enhances the reliability of engine performance.

“Our goal is to ensure that our clients can focus on their core operations while we manage the complexities of engine maintenance and support,” Adams noted, reflecting on the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality service in a competitive marketplace.

The discussion highlighted FTAI’s plans for future growth and innovation, which are vital for maintaining a leading position in the aviation aftermarket. As global air travel continues to rebound, the demand for reliable engine services is expected to increase, positioning FTAI to capitalize on this trend.

As the conference concluded, attendees expressed appreciation for the insights shared by Adams, recognizing the strategic importance of FTAI Aviation in the evolving landscape of the aviation industry.
