Omer Ibrabim Charged with Second-Degree Murder in Rosedale Case

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has charged Omer Ibrabim, aged 33, with second-degree murder following the suspicious death of a 42-year-old man in Rosedale, British Columbia. The incident came to light on May 19, 2023, when officers from the Agassiz Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) conducted a wellness check at an RV trailer located in the 53400 block of Bridal Falls Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the man deceased at the scene.

The initial investigation, conducted by the local RCMP, involved collaboration with the BC Coroner’s Service to determine the circumstances surrounding the man’s death. As the investigation progressed, the nature of the death was classified as suspicious.
