State Rep. Jackie Haas Recognizes Chicago Dough for Community Impact
State Representative Jackie Haas has honored the Bourbonnais restaurant Chicago Dough as her December Local Business Spotlight, recognizing its long-standing commitment to the community and its employees. The recognition reflects the restaurant’s enduring presence since its establishment on September 15, 1977, and its significant contributions to local culture and service.
During a recent visit to Chicago Dough, Haas presented owners Tim and Emma Gordon with a certificate of appreciation. The restaurant has become a beloved staple in Bourbonnais, known for its dedication to quality food and excellent customer service. In a statement, Haas expressed her admiration, saying, “I’m honored to feature Chicago Dough for my December Local Business Spotlight. They work hard to support our community, provide delicious food, and ensure excellent service.”
Chicago Dough has built a reputation for fostering a positive work environment. Currently employing over 40 people, the restaurant boasts a remarkably low staff turnover rate. Haas highlighted the loyalty of its employees, noting that one staff member has dedicated over 27 years to the establishment. “That speaks volumes about the relationship they have with their staff, which should absolutely be celebrated,” Haas commented.
The restaurant has plans to host a special Christmas Eve pizza buffet on December 24 from 11:00 to 19:00, inviting the community to enjoy festive food and camaraderie. Chicago Dough is located at 545 S. Main St. in Bourbonnais. For more information about their offerings, the restaurant encourages patrons to visit their website.
As Chicago Dough continues to thrive, its recognition by Rep. Haas serves as a reminder of the vital role local businesses play in fostering community spirit and providing consistent employment opportunities.
