The hospitality manager of Maverick Estate Winery in Oliver, British Columbia, has gained province-wide recognition by being nominated for a prestigious leadership award. Janik Livera is one of three finalists in the leadership category for the BC Food and Beverage 2025 Rise Awards, an annual event that celebrates outstanding contributions within the food and beverage sector across the province.

Livera faces competition from Jasmine Byrne, representing Big Mountain Food in Vancouver, and Dionne Laslo-Baker from DeeBee’s Organic in Victoria.
