Lions Club of Sault Ste. Marie Announces 50/50 Draw Winner
The Lions Club of Sault Ste. Marie has announced the winner of its latest 50/50 draw, held on December 10, 2023. The draw took place at Lions Place on Bay Street, with the winning ticket being sold by Lion Cheryl Pavoni at Giant Tiger Market Mall. The recipient, Olinda Bruno, won a cash prize totaling $5,352.50.
The proceeds from this draw will contribute to local charities, including the Salvation Army, St. Vincent Place, Christmas Cheer, and the Soup Kitchen Community Centre. The Lions Club expressed gratitude to the community for its ongoing support of both the draw and other activities throughout the year.
Community Engagement and Support
Through this draw, the Lions Club has dedicated over 400 service hours to various initiatives within the city. The organization particularly acknowledged the support from local businesses, including Pino’s Get Fresh, No Frills, Giant Tiger Market Mall, East Metro Churchill Plaza, Metro Northern Avenue, and Canadian Tire, for facilitating ticket sales.
The Lions Club invites civic-minded individuals to get involved and join their efforts in making a positive impact in the community.
