Grundy Area Vocational Center Launches Aviation Program for Students

Grundy Area Vocational Center (GAVC) has officially announced a new aviation program aimed at high school students, in collaboration with the City of Morris, Morris Municipal Airport, and D14 Aviation. This initiative, unveiled on October 20, 2023, will provide students with a comprehensive curriculum that includes aeronautics, aviation maintenance, and flight science.

The program is designed to prepare students for various career pathways within the aerospace industry. According to Lance Copes, Director of GAVC, the primary objective is to equip students with a competitive edge in today’s workforce.
