Grundy Area Vocational Center Launches Aviation Program for Students

The Grundy Area Vocational Center (GAVC) has announced an exciting new initiative that will allow high school students to explore careers in aviation. The center, located in Morris, Illinois, is partnering with the City of Morris, Morris Municipal Airport, and D14 Aviation to establish a comprehensive aviation program. This new class will provide students with a curriculum that covers aeronautics, aviation maintenance, and flight science, along with pathways to careers within the aerospace industry.

Lance Copes, Director of the Grundy Area Vocational Center, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “Our goal has always been to give students a competitive edge in today’s workforce.
